WE BELIEVE
There is one eternal God, who exists in three distinct personalities: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit -- The Trinity. (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19) Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. (Matthew 1:20-21) That all have sinned and come short of reaching God's glory. As such, there is nothing that we can do through our own efforts or good works that will ever attain salvation. (Romans 3:23) Christ alone is able to reconcile us with God, which He did by dying for our sins on the cross. He was buried and then rose again on the third day. He ascended into heaven and is now at the right hand of the Father. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25; Mark 16:19) The act of repentance is a command of God for all and is necessary for the forgiveness of sin. (Luke 13:3) Water baptism by immersion is to follow for all those who have repented and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. (Matthew 28:19) The Gifts of the Spirit, as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12-14, are to be exercised and practiced as they manifest within the life of believers, as evidenced in the early church and in the church today. Divine healing has been provided for all as part of Christ's atonement for our sin. (Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24) The Lord's supper is to be observed by His church, until His return. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26) There shall be a literal return of the Lord Jesus Christ to receive His church. (1 Corinthians 15:52) At the time of the Lord's return, there will be a bodily resurrection of all -- both the just and the unjust. (Matthew 25:26) |
